Just got a call from a Rosemary Hynde at Sky recruitment.

"Hi is this XXXXXXX"
"yes"
"Hi its Rosemary from Sky recruitment, are you still interested in working for Sky?"
"oh yes!"
"I might have some good news for you then. Do you have any holidays or other commitments within 5 weeks of the end of June?"
"nope"
"Great then I am able to tell you that we have a potential training start date for you on the 29th June is that ok?"
"Thats brilliant!!" (extra ! here cos I was bouncing about)
"Ok then. Your training centre will be Crewe on the 29th June then. Unfortunately because its been so long since you attended the assesment centre the forms for the background checks have now changed so I will need you to fill one of the newer ones out, is that ok?"
"Yeah thats fine"
"Ok Ill email that off. Once again congratulations and we apologise for things taking this long"

Woo-hooo. Im guessing there will be a few more posts along these lines over the next few days. Looking like the recruitment process has started again.

yeah it was 08000512592 but as with the majority of calls from Sky when you ring it back you get that automated "one of our departments has called you..." message (just tried it).

By the way, so as not to dishearten those of you on here who may not get a call, I am in the M postcode area and was told that 29th June was the first available start date for my area... those in other postcodes may have to wait a little longer for the call.
Ive been waiting since I passed the assessment in November last year... so yeah, I guess patience is a virtue.

did they just call you today thats great news im glad someone has had a start date at least its looking promising now i passed in nov also but not getting caried awayim workin at the moment anyway so ill just keep waiting
