Anyone else found these routers to have piss poor range on em?
I was with BT a while back and my wireless signal was booming all over the house. Switched to Sky recently (for obvious reasons) and since plugging in the router my little lad has zero reception on his Wii upstairs and my PC in the kitchen/dining room drops the connection now and then coming up with "No wireless networks in range". Just wondered if anyone on here has any ideas for boosting the signal.

Ive tried switching wireless channels, using a netgear wireless adaptor, moving the router away from other wireless devices and still no joy. Looking like I may have to use wired connections for my PC and 360 the way this bloody things going.

Why not use the BT router if the range is better.

I use sky broadband and have no problems with my wireless connection. I am typing this on my laptop which is downstairs and my router is upstairs. The signal is full strength

Sky is the best broadband supplier I have had.

Oh yer, while I'm on here, where's my job??

I have both Sky broad band and Virgin and I must say I never use the Sky broad band for anything other then my VOIP phone all the rest goes down my Virgin broad band as the speed I get with them is better then 20 megs and with Sky i'm lucky if I ever see 4megs....

For some reason the Sky router is now being picked up by my lads Wii so issues all solved.. no idea what caused it tho LoL. BT homehub can stay where it is for now, in a box in the "shit" room.
